Work At Rent217 Property Management - Leasing Agent/Property Manager. Experience preferred but not necessary
We are growing our business and are looking for a hard-working, people-person,
detail-oriented individual who wants to grow with us. We are in the
Champaign/Urbana/Savoy area. A strong work ethic is a requirement, and, while
experience is nice, no experience is necessary; we will train to do any
required task.
A worker in this position will become intimately involved in the entire
Resident lifecycle: from marketing vacant properties, to showing properties to
prospective Residents, screening Residents wishing to lease, movein, coordinating
the handling of Resident concerns, unit inspections, accounting, Resident
retention, moveouts, and coordinating preparation of property for re-lease.
This worker will be the primary point of contact for Residents.
This position will require an Illinois Residential Leasing Agent License, but
having a license is not a prerequisite to employment. If the selected
candidate does not have a license, this will be procured at the beginning of
employment.
Work will be at both regular and somewhat irregular hours, depending on
showing needs for prospective residents as well as handling resident concerns.
The position is anticipated to require at least 20 hours per week
and hopefully full time before too long.
This is meant to be long-term employment where the hired
team member will take genuine ownership of the job.
Applicant requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Takes pride in, and ownership of, their work
- Willingness to learn
- Prompt/punctual/good attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
- Can pass a background check
- No felonies
- Working smartphone and computer
- High school diploma or GED
- 18 years or older
- English competency
- Valid Illinois driver's license/reliable transportation
Experience Preferred:
- Marketing/salesperson skills
- Proficient with computers/spreadsheets with the capability to master
company-specific accounting and database programs
- Basic photography skills
- Basic understanding of home maintenance/terminology
The worker is responsible for conducting all business in accordance with
company policies and procedures, Fair Housing Laws, Americans with Disabilities
Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to rental
housing.
Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
