Maintenance/Repairperson

Work at Rent217 Property Management - Maintenance/Repairperson Full-Time. Experience preferred but not necessary

We are growing our business and are looking for a hard-working individual who wants to grow with us. We are in the Champaign/Urbana/Savoy area. A strong work ethic is a requirement, and, while experience is nice, no experience is necessary; we will train to do any required task. A worker in this position will be doing an incredible variety of tasks, including remodel work, laying tile/flooring, painting, lawn mowing/trimming, appliance repair, hanging drywall, cleaning, simple electrical/plumbing, and many other things. Each day will bring new variety in tasks and will sometimes require heavy lifting, being in crawl spaces, on roofs, working with flooring on one's knees, working with power and manual tools, and driving to/from job sites and/or stores.

Work, particularly at the beginning, will be during normal weekday hours (with the possibility of occasional after-hours calls) and we anticipate that it will, for at least the first few months/year, be Full-Time. Our goal for the position to remain Full-Time and to never drop below at least 20 hours per week.

This is meant to be long-term employment where the hired individual will take genuine ownership of the job.
